What does emergency relief include?

Emergency food rations, safe drinking water and temporary shelter for families displaced by floods, earthquakes or similar disasters in Pakistan, Indonesia and Malaysia. It does not include long-term reconstruction or general medical care.

Is emergency relief valid Zakat?

Only if the recipient is poor or destitute under Surah At-Tawbah 9:60. Displacement alone does not make a gift Zakat. On this site, mark disaster gifts as Sadaqah unless poverty has been verified. Named-patient medical care is the Zakat pathway.

Who delivers the aid?

Pre-vetted local partner organisations, not World Aid Network field teams. Partners handle logistics and distribution. We fund them against verified reports — not as open grants.

How quickly can partners respond?

Local partners are pre-positioned so food, water and shelter can start in the first days after a declared disaster, without waiting for a new campaign. We do not publish a guaranteed hour-count as a marketing figure.

What is World Aid Network’s emergency relief?

The parent charity’s second object is emergency food, drinking water and shelter for families displaced by disasters in Pakistan, Indonesia and Malaysia. Local partners deliver it. We do not run camps. On this site, give those gifts as Sadaqah unless the family has been poverty-verified as Zakat-eligible.

Medical Zakat — cataract surgery and cancer treatment — stays on the named-patient path. Disaster displacement is not, by itself, a Zakat category.

What do emergency gifts buy?

Safe drinking water when the usual source is cut off, food rations for the first days and weeks, and temporary shelter — tarpaulins, tents or materials — when homes are flooded or destroyed. Not long-term reconstruction. Not a general medical budget.

What will we not do with emergency gifts?

We will not run our own camps, rebuild cities, or take a flood gift as Zakat without a poverty check. We will not add Gaza, Qurbani or water wells to look like a bigger disaster charity. Pakistan, Indonesia and Malaysia are the countries. Food, water and shelter are the goods.
