What is World Aid Network’s emergency relief?

We fund food, clean water, hygiene kits and temporary shelter for families affected by disasters in Pakistan, Indonesia and Malaysia. Vetted local relief partners deliver it; we do not run camps. We accept emergency relief gifts as Sadaqah only.

Our medical programmes, eye surgery and cancer treatment, are separate. They pay partner hospitals for named patients, and they are the only causes on this site that accept Zakat.

What do emergency gifts fund?

  • Clean water where the usual source is cut off or contaminated.
  • Food for families in the days and weeks after a disaster.
  • Hygiene kits for displaced families.
  • Temporary shelter, such as tarpaulins or tents, when homes are flooded or destroyed.

Emergency relief does not rebuild homes or fund clinics. We pay vetted local partners directly against trustee-approved lists and never give cash to individuals. We do not publish a guaranteed response time. More detail is on worldaidnetwork.org.

Should you mark this as Zakat or Sadaqah?

Sadaqah. We do not accept Zakat for emergency relief, and displacement alone is not a Zakat category. If you need to pay Zakat, you can give it to eye surgery or cancer treatment instead. We do not issue Shariah rulings; ask a qualified scholar if you are unsure.
