How the calculator and giving journey work

Gather values for your Zakat date, select the method you follow and check the calculation breakdown. The result is conditional on your entries; it cannot establish ownership, your financial history or recipient eligibility. See the calculation method.

At checkout you choose Zakat or Sadaqah and a cause. Zakat can go to eye surgery or cancer treatment only; emergency relief and “where most needed” are Sadaqah only. A gift to a chosen cause stays with that cause. This site’s checkout cannot accept Fitrana, fidya or kaffarah.

We do not issue Shariah rulings. Read whether Zakat can fund medical treatment if you are unsure how a hospital payment fits the approach you follow.

We do not run our own hospitals. We pay partner hospitals and vetted local relief partners directly for named patients and families on trustee-approved lists. Treatment is given by licensed partner clinicians registered with the PMDC in Pakistan, the KKI in Indonesia or the MMC in Malaysia. World Aid Network is governed by named trustees under a written constitution (PDF).

Card payments run through Stripe Checkout, so your card details never reach our servers. Gift Aid is not available. Keep your receipt, valuation and method with your Zakat record. The calculator’s saved browser data is your working record, not proof that a payment was made. For receipts, refunds or a monthly gift, see contact us.
