You can give to three causes on this site: eye surgery, cancer treatment and emergency relief in Pakistan, Indonesia and Malaysia. A gift to a cause stays with that cause. Zakat can go to eye surgery or cancer treatment; emergency relief is Sadaqah only.

Eye surgery
Cataract surgery and other eye procedures for patients who cannot afford care, at partner hospitals in Pakistan, Indonesia and Malaysia. Around £200 is a planning estimate per cataract operation; costs vary.

Cancer treatment
Diagnosis, surgery and chemotherapy for patients who cannot afford care. It does not fund research or NHS care, and costs vary by diagnosis.

Emergency relief
Food, clean water, hygiene kits and temporary shelter after disasters, delivered by vetted local partners. It does not rebuild homes or fund clinics. Sadaqah only.

How your gift reaches patients and families
We pay partner hospitals and vetted local relief partners directly, against trustee-approved lists of named patients. We never give cash to individuals and we do not run our own hospitals. Treatment is given by licensed partner clinicians registered with the PMDC in Pakistan, the KKI in Indonesia or the MMC in Malaysia. See where we work.
A chosen cause or “where most needed”
When you choose eye surgery, cancer treatment or emergency relief, your gift is restricted to that cause. A gift to “where most needed” is unrestricted, and our trustees direct it to the most urgent programme. Our donation policy explains running costs and how gifts are recorded.
Zakat, Sadaqah and other payments
You can mark a gift to eye surgery or cancer treatment as Zakat, and we record it as Zakat. We do not accept Zakat for emergency relief or “where most needed”, and this site’s checkout cannot accept Fitrana, fidya or kaffarah. We do not issue Shariah rulings; if you are unsure whether paying a hospital for a named patient meets the approach you follow, read whether Zakat can fund medical treatment or ask a qualified scholar.
